damn phone

So I am still writing my blog on my phone.

Not fun.

Not fun at all.

Denali's old vet called to see how we were doing. I told her that Denali is happy, and as long as she is happy we will keep fighting.

Denali's new vet just called. We have good news (yes, I used the word "we" and "good news" in the same sentence.)

No bowed tendon, she has a strain of her extendor tendon, but no tears. Still fighting cellulitus, but doing much better. We figured she pulled it when she was really nerological and tripping over herself.

She also took x-rays of her atlas and her upper neck. I hope they find something. The vet said she's seen horses with arthritis in their atlas with some nero signs.

I just want answers.

Ok, it's almost Christmas. What are you asking Santa for? I asked for a healthy Denali.
(I may have also asked for a new computer, but I know I am not getting that.)

Wooohooo! No bowed tendon is great news! :-) Cellulitis is no fun, but she should be just fine. At least she's still here and mostly healthy!
OK, so how many fights have you and your mom gotten in so far?

I asked for the last bit of money to pay off my car... which I actually got! Here's hoping Miss D and Santa can work something out for you. ;) (I may have also asked for a dog, who is now sitting/sleeping next to me... :x)

(P.S.: I'm hoping to have your picture framed up and sent off soon. :) )

I'm glad to hear she's doing better! I'll be sending healing thoughts her way. :) Merry Christmas!

Among other things, I'm asking for you and Denali to have a much better year. I'm asking that no children bite you, that no slewy mares run over you, no part of your home is a swimming pool, no "professionals" park their faces under Miss D's feet, and that you keep writing this wonderful blog forever. Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS DENALI and the Entire Denali Support Crew!!!

What did I ask Santa for? *sigh* This really dreamy Appy gelding kinda caught my eye (and my heart), but... yeah. he isn't looking for a new home. Oh well.... someday...

YAAAY, glad there aren't any lesions. that makes the tendon game much easier to play. :)

I asked santa for a new helmet, since my old one.. well, I've gotten my money's worth out of it ;)

Would you be interested in an old (but "new to you" computer)? I have a 2003 HP Pavilion desktop that has rarely been used (I live on my laptop). It's in fabulous shape and I'd give it to you - my way of saying thank you for allowing me to share in your love of Denali. The only problem is that I live in Georgia - only on opposite ends of the country - lol I can check and see how much it would cost to ship if you would be interested. Maybe we could split that cost?

I know this sounds like some crazy woman is dangling some freebie in front of you - she must want something in return! I assure you my intentions are honorable and I want nothing - I too have gone through the pain and grief of having sick and injured pets - not to mention the dollar amounts involved.

Let me know what you would like to do. Merry Christmas to all!

I wasn't asking for anything for Christmas because I really don't expect anything, but now that I think of it I will be asking for a healthy Denali too!! Sounds like a wonderful Christmas wish. :D Merry Christmas!!!!

Awww.... I love you guys!

Sue, you are so sweet!! Thank you! Sadly we live in a shoebox (Denali's stall is bigger than our bedroom, not even joking) so no room for a desk to put the computer on :-(

Thank you so much for the offer!
