Fail.
In fun exciting news. I got a letter in the mail from the University that I attended. I had two student teachers last quarter from them, and totally spaced on the fact that I get PAID for having them in my room. They were so awesome I think that I should have paid them (Shh....dont' say anything.)
Yay! Denali now has $300.00 in her "savings" account. I'm so excited. We're actually in the black for the first time in I can't tell you HOW LONG!!! Seriously. We are over $10,500 in vet bills since September 2009 (this includes teeth and shots, so not TOO bad.) It does not include the current stay at the vets barn!! Each month involved paying our bills, paying her bills, and pulling from our savings to cover the rest. Savings is still suffering, but if Mare will just stay sound we will be good to go.
Dear 2011.
I would like a sound (sane) mare, and to win the lotto. I don't need to be greedy, but enough that spending $50,000 on Rio wouldn't piss the husband off too much.
Thanks.

I read all of the time, but never comment. Buuuut, $10,500 in bet bills in less than two years!? Yiiikes! =O
I totally hear ya on winning the lottery. I'm riding one that I'd LOVE to buy, but alas bank account and hubby would probably both keel over and die. LOL
Yeah, they say horses are for the rich, LOL, LOL. Maybe, in the future?? Consider Equine Medical Insurance? My last horse was always sick and my Insurance paid out over 18,000 in vet bills over 8 yrs. I would never be able to afford a horse without my insurance. Just to give you an idea, it's about $600.00 a year depending what you get????? I am still praying for a healthy happy Denali!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the best MOM!
Yeah, sadly we have insurance! Sadly, everything that is breaking is NOT covered. BOO!!
Ohhh, I am so sorry. That does make it harder and there can be certain pit falls. Darn. Well common into the black, LOL!
Keep celebrating! I finally clicked the Follow button as I have been reading for almost a year, but for some reason just never made it official!
Jeez, and here I was complaining about spending $2,500 last year when Jaz was so sick.
I could definitely not afford to spend that kind of money. My line in the sand with Jaz was $5,000. I'm grateful it didn't come to that.
Lol. I like your letter. :)
I'm glad you're finally out of the red. That must be a relief. I hope you can get your finances in better health really quickly. And that D stays healthy. :)
Wow!! you are one dedicated Mama! Good job making it work. And good luck with the lottery thing.
Denali is so lucky to have such a dedicated, loving mama to put so much money, time and effort into her! She needs to calm the demon tendencies and appreciate you! That's some serious money. I hear ya about the lottery...if only! Either that or Publisher's Clearing House.
