300th Post

Just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who's been following my blog. I saw a post that I did in September where I mentioned getting my 12th follower, well, I have a few more now than I did before. Thanks for joining our ride! How did you find me? Why did you start to follow (aside from my basic threats and beggings?) I'm just curious.

I'm excited for the day that I can log in and say, "I rode Denali." I thought I'd be there by now, but I guess God has different plans. Part of me wonders if it was meant to happen this way. I kept getting frustrated that I couldn't ride her and then guilty because I wasn't. Now I have not guilt. I can't ride her. I can't let her out of the stall. She's not being ridden, but I continue to ride and work out. By the time she's better I should be back to being a fit rider. I guess I'll take that as a sign that as much as she frustrates me and drives me nuts sometimes, I should keep her. Everytime I talk about selling her something happens.

I'm going to post some books on my other blog www.rehabdenali.blogspot.com tonight or tomorrow. Some one e-mailed me (and you can too @ rehabdenali@yahoo.com ) and asked me how they would pay for something. There is a little box on the side of the "other" blog that says "Chipin" if you buy something (and we talked) that will direct you to paypal. Also, if anyone knows Bill Gates pass him the address.

I can't remember how I found you but I am so glad I did!! Your blog is so great to read, and as much as you get frustrated with Denali you love her and do such a good job with her! There is a reason for everything and something great will come out of all this! Keep your head up girl!

And man...I dream of having 87 followers like you! haha I have 17 and check back every day to see if I have anymore! Its a pathetic blogger syndrome I like to believe!

I'm pretty sure I found you through a comment you left on FHOTD, or on a page I got from a link from there. :)

I have two followers. *lols* Oh well, blogs are for fun anyway. :)

When one of my RL horse friends logs on, I'll give her a link to your sale blog. She know more horse people than me.

I can't remember how I found you. It was through another blog about the time that Denali was diagnosed with EPM. Your spirit and heart just spoke to me and I have been an avid follower since. It is not just your love of Denali but your love of teaching, your husband and just plain life that is so great to see. Even on the days that you are frustrated and venting, your passion shows through.

Hey, I found you when you left a link to your blog on FHOTD.

I absolutely love your blog, the way you write, your humor and hearing the updates on Denali!
Don't forget, everything happens for a reason...there is a reason everything that has happened, has happened, and everything that will happen will be for a reason too!

Haha, yeah I wish I had 87 followers...I have 3 hee hee

Best of luck with everything!

oh, and btw...I tried to get on your for sale blog (I love the name too hee hee) and I couldn't see any of the items you had listed? I've been dying to get my hands on some interesting horsey books so I will try to check it out again tonight! If there is anything I want, I will email you!

I think I actually found you through my Google Reader! I follow a ton of horse blogs and Google typically suggests a few a day...I have a very green horse so I'm always interested in green horse people :)

The other commenters are right...everything happens for a reason. It'll all work out!

And Snowhawk...I'm with you with the 2 followers :)

Thanks You are my 20th follower! And a big congratulations on your 300th post!

I found you awhile back, following one of the blogs I follow to another and I really felt like we were going through some of the same things, facing fear and whatnot.

I can't remeber how I found your blog, but I'm glad I did. Following your efforts to teach and learn with Denali has been a great refresher into working with my own horse. I love hearing other people's approaches to their Drama Queens as I affectionately refer to my own mare who most certainly likes to make a big deal out of anything. Mine is currently coming back off nearly six months of no work after an extensor tendon and non-healing skin wound injury. I can totally sympathize with the frustrations of being ready to reach for your goals and having the rug pulled out from under you. Best of luck and here's hoping your next 300 posts are about recovery and riding!

I found you through FHOTD comments link to your blog.

I was interested because our first horse was a scared-of-his-own-shadow 5 year old ranch broke arab/quarter horse that gave my daughter a broken ankle within 2 weeks and I was intrigued by your title of "Green n Green = Back n Blue".

It was a long haul with that first horse, but eventually my daughter was able to ride him. I, on the other hand, decided I didn't have to prove anything to others, myself or even the horse and quit riding him.

My daughter since gave the horse away because she couldn't afford him, but I often think of him and how I would have handled that whole thing differently. Some of what we did to him was soooooo WRONG, but we were ignorant newbies!

I can't remember how I found you?! Or vice versa?!
All I know is that I'm glad I did b/c it's funny reading about people going thru the SAME trials as we are.
Great job on 300 awesome posts! :)
