It's either me or the horse...

Last night I was so excited to go to bed early. I usually go to bed around 11, and somehow was able to get into bed at 10. My husband said something about being thirsty, and I jumped out of bed to go get him a drink. (Understand that he does EVERYTHING for me, and I was very excited to be able to do something simple for him.)

I hit my foot against the wall. Needless to say I then screamed every swear word I knew and grabbed my foot. It hurt so bad. I got back into bed and took off my sock. I hit my second toe in and it looks like I cut it down under the nail. It hurts! Lol. I took a picture, but decided it was way to gross to put on here. I'm waiting for my doctor's appointment on my couch. It's the first time in 7 year I've missed work without knowing I'm going to miss work. My toe is disgusting and hurts like hell. I was screaming about how bad it hurts and how my husband just doesn't understand. My husband had a climbing accident 6 years ago that he broke his leg in half, and his back in 3 places. He smiled at me and then I remembered. Opps.

So it's either me that is hurt or Denali that is hurt. In High School I had a friend that every time one of us got hurt the same thing would happen to the other one of us. It was sort of spooky.

While I'm laying here waiting for my doctor's appointment I have time to post more random pictures and videos from this weekend.

Ms. Ophelia and her mom in their class. This is why I do dressage. The idea of doing flat classes with a bunch of other horses scares me!

More of my favorite show off pony. He was just so fun! I wish I could find his owner so I could give her some of these pictures.

The video isn't exciting at all. I was just so excited that you could see more than just her hot pink bell boots that I just kept filming little clips.

OUCH! Hope your foot gets better! Maybe you should get some hot pink bell boots!! jk!
I love the videos you post! I wish I could get pics of my little guy playing like that but when I put him in the arena he either a) follows me around like a puppy or b) hovers by the cabinet with treats. In the 10 months I've had him I have never seen him run around on his own...I guess in the mornings he plays with his pasture buddies but i've never seen it lol

How old is your boy? Ms. Denali loves to run around like a crazy horse. Sometimes I put her in and she just follows me, but as soon as she starts running around like this I'm out of the arena faster than you can count to 3. I'm sure she'd never run into me, BUT I don't want to test it. :)

He will be 10 in March. I really wish i could see him run around more. Guess he is enjoying retirement from the track a little too much! I love that he isn't hot but at the same time I wish he had a bit more pep sometimes.
My old horse loved to scare the crap out of me by running full speed then do a sliding stop inches from me. He thought it as funny...I didn't...

Everything I own for her is red. Except for her winter blanket, every blanket, boots, etc. I couldn't find red boots so I figured hot pink would work well as a substitute.

I started collecting red due to the fact that red = warning!! Lol.

GTTR- Is he registared?

Yep, his registered name is Pine Bend. I can't remember exactly when he last raced but I think it was in 07.

GTTR, Your boy raced on 10/29/03, 11/28/03. 12/21/03, 01/07/04, 03/02/04, 03/20/04, 06/04/06 (not sure why the HUGE break in action) 06/25/06, 07/15/06, 08/17/06. All in California. I only watched his last video, he got 2nd in a field of 12!! Pretty impressive. He looked like a good runner, I wonder why they dropped him? I also wonder why the 2 year break? That's why I love OTTBs. They're their own little mystery. I like trying to put pieces of the puzzle together.

I actually watched a a couple of his races too. I keep getting goosebumps when I watch them. I know it was a long time ago and I didn't know him then but it still makes me real proud when i tell people about his history and how he came to be with me.
He finished his racing career in Minnesota after he had been claimed in Arizona for $8,000. He raced 4 or 5 times before his career was ended because of a suspensory ligament injury. He's also got Pinfiring marks up both his fronts and on his left hock. so that could be why he had a long break from racing. He's put up with alot of pain in his life but he the sweetest horse i've ever met.
I actually emailed the trainer he had in Arizona and she sent me a few of his win pictures. I worried she wouldn't respond or would have been angry for me bugging her but she remembered him and was really really nice and was happy that He had a good home and was being spoiled rotten.

That's awesome!! It's so nice when the trainers are helpful and kind. I was afraid too when I contacted Denali's trainer, but he was amazing!

I'm glad you got to see his races. I have access to the racereplays site and like looking up TB's who raced in the last 7 years.
