Cute Factor

I thought I'd try to not make this blog totally depressing towards its end. I ordered this pre-Denali isn't going to make it. It came in the mail today along with the mini-Ophie and after bawling for 20 minutes, I have to say it's pretty much the cutest thing ever. They are being made for a Thoroughbred Rescue in the Seattle Area, and if you send in a photo they will make your horse for you. Seriously, some of the ones who have chrome and blazes are impressive.
The ponies were $12.00 and 1/2 of the proceeds go towards the rescue. If you're interested e-mail tinyplanetfarm@gmail.com tell her that Denali sent you ;0)

Those are adorable. I keep wanting to have something like that made for my mother of two of our dogs that have passed.

And...

In tribute to Denali, I have a little pixel tribute. I want to do something else, and more personal, for you, later, when I have my art drive back.

On Second Life, there were recently released horses, for the purpose of a breeding mini-game. I completely fail at actually making money with it, but the horses are cute and have taken over my virtual island. After hearing the news, I went on a hunt, after noticing how much one of the colors of bay looked like the pictures you've posted of Denali, even though all bay coats in this "breedable" have a white star. Then there's a trait called "Gloom" which darkens and greys the coat. So after failing to find something appropriate in my own bundle (baby virtual horse waiting to be born), I found one someone was selling.

Her name, in-world, is Denali.

You're quite welcome, and it's really the least I can do for now. The other three bundles I bought in trying to get a filly (2 fillies and a colt... Virtual Denali was the first one I "birthed") will all have names related to her registered name. Just working out what I think they sound best as. :)

Like I said, I have something else planned, just need the art mojo back.

I'm just getting caught up, so only now am I learning of Denali's fate. I'm so sorry for your impending loss, but applaud you for doing the compassionate thing. I hope when the time is right, the perfect horse comes into your life.

Peace.

Those are so cute! I might just have to order one. :) Don't let this be the end of your blog! Your readers are interested in both YOU & Denali. I'm sure there will still be adventures to come with the big fancy horses or some entertaining butt biting stories from the kiddos. :)

It seems to me, when you said, "I thought I'd try to not make this blog totally depressing towards its end," that you are thinking of discontinuing this wonderful blog. I just want you to know that I sincerely hope you don't do that. Denali is part of YOU and your story, and she always will be. She may become a huge part of what's there, unseen, over the horizon. At any rate, your readers (I'm guessing) will want to hang onto you. I know I do.

This blog is Denali and you and you should write whatever you want whenever want. A lot of people could stand to learn a lot from you and your compassion. I know you are moving from day to day at this point but don't feel like you need to do anything other than what you feel like. Up, down, sideways, it is up to you. Rant, curse, cry, laugh, all emotions welcome here! To quote Steel Magnolias "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion!".

I also hope you continue but that is totally up to you. I am not sure you are aware of the impact you have made.
